Continuous Hanger Explained

You may not know that gutters used to be installed with nails or invisible hangers at 24-inch intervals. These systems were relatively strong, but left long stretches of aluminum gutter at the mercy of snow and ice. They also left the silicone sealant at the corners vulnerable to damage from the sun. That’s why gutters are now installed with continuous hanger™ systems that strengthen and seal. It’s like having hundreds of fasteners along the gutter, all riddled with holes to allow water to drain.

Rain gutters are commonly installed with spaced hangers that cause weak spots on the gutter between hanger.

To avoid weak spots, hundreds of hangers would need to be added, but this is not a very efficient practice.

With a continuous Hanger™, the rain gutters are reinforced along their entire length.

About Alu-Rex Products

For new gutter installations, we recommend Alu-Rex, a gutter fastening system that incorporates a leaf guard. This system secures gutters to your home so effectively that your gutter system will be able to bare a weight of up to 250 pounds per linear foot.

DoublePro®

DoublePro® is a dual-action gutter protection system. It is built to stand up to the worst weather conditions in Canada and keep your gutter free of ice and debris year after year.

T-Rex®

Gutter Clean
System®

The Gutter Clean System by Alu-Rex is a robust aluminum gutter protection solution designed for existing rain gutters.

This leaf guard system easily conforms to new or existing gutters; no matter how wide the gutter channel is or what material they are made of, with the exception of vinyl gutters. It is invisible from the street and will not rust or flake.
